• As the Tromar Ballroom it had, "Name bands of the swing era, orchestras and singers, some of whom would become quite famous."[5]

• By 1958, ads about KIOA, Red Cross & others having offices in the former ballroom/roller rink.
• 1963 - No longer used for skating, but was used by KIOA (radio station), Catholic Charities, Red Cross & Boy Scouts when destroyed by fire.[5]


Before skating, it opened as the Tromar Ballroom.
